I am a proud, life-long student of YouTube academy! YouTube first started in 2005, when I was eight years old, and became a defining part of how I would develop my hobbies over the years. It was through YouTube that I learned how to create a subwoofer from foamboard and copper wire, how to build a longboard from 1/16" wood sheets, how to play guitar, how to compose nice photos, how to edit videos, how to golf, and SO much more. YouTube, over the years, has become not just a platform for entertainment, but the ultimate teaching platform. People with expertise and the drive to share it upload to YouTube so that youngins like me can learn from them.
Now, one of my most consistent hobbies is posting videos to my YouTube channel. The task of selecting what to focus on was pretty challenging considering my overall personality of being someone with many interests. However, I chose to focus on making videos that share my love for film photography, teach others new skills about it, and to tell stories with film photography as the medium to do so.
It's no secret that I tend to get deep, deeply into one hobby at a time before moving on to another. In the summer months, it's golfing. In the winter months, it's painting, then photography, then videography, then playing guitar, etc. Truthfully, I haven't quite figured out how to manage this issue. If you have advice, please reach out and let me know!
